Tree Campus Higher Education

In March of 2023, Buffalo State University was recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation, as a 2022 Tree Campus Higher Education Institution.  This designation shows Buffalo State University's commitment to maintaining its trees with proper care, maintaining an up to date inventory and a strategic plan to replace trees as they die and need to be replaced. In March 2024, the campus once again was recognized as a  2023 Tree Campus Higher Education institution. In order to achieve this designation, Buffalo State University has in place a tree care guideline, that is used as a standard for future tree installation and care.
